FIONA FINLAY
Company Director
Fiona Finlay the company director, is an experienced producer who started her career as a theatre director and later worked in the new writers script department of the Royal National Theatre. She then moved to the BBC where she produced comedy and drama series and serials and films. Her film of Jane Austen's Persuasion, directed by Roger Michell won 5 BAFTA awards. It also won the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Film.
Fiona is well known for encouraging new voices and initiating the successful careers of writers, directors and production teams. She is now executive producer for Doorway projects and is also writing for TV and film herself.
ROBERT KNIGHTS
Executive Producer
Robert Knights has a distinguished career in British film and television as a director. Robert has been nominated for three BAFTA TV Awards (The History Man, The Glittering Prizes and Porterhouse Blue) and he won the Montréal World Film Festival Jury Prize for his film of The Dawning. He also won an International Emmy in New York for 'Porterhouse Blue' (Channel 4) starring David Jason (BAFTA Best Actor Award), and Christopher Gunning (BAFTA Best Music).
Now as an executive producer, Robert is committed to facilitating talent and new writers.
EDWARD MOLINE
Development Consultant
Edward is a freelance Development Producer and Script Consultant working with writers, directors and production companies to deliver compelling film and high-end television productions.
Prior to entering script consultancy, Edward was a Development Producer at Beano Studios for two and a half years. His work at Beano Studios built upon a decade long career working with independent production companies to develop and produce drama, comedy, entertainment and factual television formats.
GILL JOHNSON
Business Affairs Consultant
Gill Johnson is Doorway Films' Business Affairs Consultant dealing with all commercial aspects of the development, production and exploitation of its programmes. Gill worked in-house as a media lawyer for Granada Television and the BBC before spending five years as Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Tiger Aspect Productions. She now works as a freelance Business Affairs consultant for various independent television production companies advising on a range of commercial issues.
JOAN CUFFY
Production Manager
With 20 years experience as a Production Manager, Joan has worked across a range of genres including, comedy, sketch shows, panel shows, sitcoms, clip shows and drama. She has also worked in documentaries and sports. Joan is is a freelance production manager and experienced in location work and multi camera studio shows.
MENGHAN CUI
Marketing and Business
Originally from Bejing, Menghan is a graduate from University College London School of Management. She has worked at KPMG China as a management consultant and currently researching at Cass Business School. Menghan provides an international perspective on Doorway productions.
DR ANTHONY HERBLAND
Website and Media Streaming
Anthony has over ten years of experience in producing, directing, editing, camera operation, graphics and animation in health education. He is also the webmaster for Doorway Films.
DR JANE SIMMONDS
Arts and Health Consultant
Jane is consultant on Doorway's medical arts and humanities and education projects. She completed an MA at Central St Martins College of Art and Design where she specialised in photography, print and video, she also has a doctorate in health education.
